Wedding Ceremony

Celebrate your wedding ceremony in the romantic colonial charm of our gazebo and award winning gardens. There is nothing like saying ‘I do’ surrounded by a lush tropical rainforest!

Our beautiful gardens provide a unique and intimate setting for a romantic wedding ceremony and a stunning backdrop for photographs.

Pre-Reception

Following your ceremony, our wide cool verandahs overlook beautiful rainforest surrounds, and provide the perfect place for your guests to relax and enjoy canapes and drinks before your reception.

Wedding Reception

It is our great pleasure to invite you to celebrate your wedding in the relaxed atmosphere of the Cairns Colonial Club Resort. Nothing compares to the breathtaking surrounds of our award winning, lush tropical gardens and the traditional Queenslander style setting offered here at the Conference Centre.

Your guests will enter through the elegant marble foyer where they are directed to either the opulent expanse of the Lockhart Ballroom, the stylish Jardines Room or the intimate setting of the Palmerston Room where your special day will unfold with true beauty and romance! • Lockhart Ballroom: Offering traditional elegance and charm and surrounded by the Resort’s lush tropical gardens, the Lockhart Ballroom is the ideal setting to host your special day. The Lockhart Ballroom has soaring 8.2m ceilings and French doors that open out on to our wide verandahs and landscaped gardens. The Lockhart Ballroom is perfect for weddings of up to 180 guests and includes use of a timber dancefloor and staging.
• Jardines Room: Jardines Room is set in a secluded tropical atmosphere with stylish décor. Our striking grand staircase leads to a romantic setting featuring high back carver chairs, an ornate timber bar and brass fittings. Jardines Room is well suited to smaller weddings of up to 50 guests.
• Palmerston Room: The Palmerston Room is the smallest and most charming of our venues. Decorative features and colonial style furniture really make an impact. It is the perfect venue for an intimate reception.
